PROGRESS360: PROJECT MANAGEMENT THE PROGRESS WAY

By: Ken Kneas – Director, Project Management

As a cornerstone of the proven Progress360 project design and delivery process, our Project Management team participates in all phases from pre-development to turnover. Firstly, our Project Managers provide support and consultation to the business development, design, and preconstruction teams during the initiation, planning, and design phases of our client’s projects. However, the Project Management department’s primary responsibilities are to facilitate risk management, implementation, construction, and project delivery within our proven Progress360 process.

Risk Management

One of the most critical missions within the Project Management department is to provide our clients with honest and accurate data and advisement to ensure “no stones are left un-turned” when developing the best plans for action and project execution. Identifying and limiting risks and potential exposures before and during construction is essential to guarantee the best decisions will be collectively made on our client’s behalf. Our Project Management department is comprised of problem seeker/solvers equipped with the experience, historical information, and passion for research necessary to navigate through, around, or over any challenges or pitfalls encountered on the way to successful project delivery. Whether it is a preliminary cost analysis of multiple solutions, forecasting of market conditions, or constructability analysis, our Project Management staff is steadfast on our mission to safeguard our client’s interests and risks on the way to the reward.

Implementation

After all project goals and deliverables have been established, risks have been identified and mitigated, and all preconstruction planning and design deliverables have been completed; projects are turned over to our Project Management department for implementation of the collectively developed plan. At this point, our department embraces the collective vision, engages our core values, and brings the strategically imagined to fruition.

Construction and Delivery

The majority of the Project Management department’s responsibilities in our Progress360 process are administered during the construction and delivery phases of our clients’ projects. Our Project Managers are responsible for project start-up, trade and material procurement, cost control, project document management, design coordination, RFI and submittal management, scheduling, general project oversite, and closeout procedures. While working hand-in-hand with clients, designers, building officials, trade partners, and vendors; Progress Carolina’s Project Managers unwaveringly support our on-site Construction Management team. Our department deploys an efficiently systemized internal process tailored for client satisfaction. With the pursuit of excellence being a vitally important core value within Progress Carolina, our Project Management department will never quit improving and streamlining our internal procedures and processes. We remain excited to build the future and welcome all client feedback.
